Beekeeping Intern Wanted for 2012

Each beekeeping season we have had the services of a young person interested in gaining experience in beekeeping. An extra set of willing hands is greatly appreciated in the bee yard and in exchange for their work we will pass on our 30 years of passionate natural and chemical-free beekeeping experience.

We will be taking applications for the 2012 season for an intern to assist in all areas of our beekeeping business. Duties will include working and managing honeybees in our breeding and out-yards, harvesting honey, queen rearing, bottling honey and delivering packages to FedEx and delivery honey products to our customers. Our method of beekeeping is very labor intensive since we use natural methods to manage our bees and we do not use any chemicals.

We are looking for a self-starter and quick learner who is interested in learning chemical free beekeeping and is willing to perform daily physical work amongst the amazing honeybee. They must have a drivers license and transportation and  must be available an average of 20 daylight hours per week, April though September. Interested candidates should provide their contact information, previous experience, and list their own requirements, such as financial needs; references will be required.  Please contact us via email at emgold.beekeepers@verizon.net.
