Hello, we are Ed and Mary Kosenski from E&M Gold Beekeepers, a family NJ beekeeping business, which produces local raw honey & naturally selects strong honeybees and honeybee queens. We began our beekeeping journey in 1997 shortly after seeing the movie Ulee’s Gold. The next day Ed purchased our 1st beehive from a Beekeeper in Vineland, NJ. Since that first hive, 22 years ago, we have grown to a 100-hive beekeeping operation.
Our Honey
Our honey is harvested from early June to the end of July and during that period, Mary and Ed harvest the honey which is then brought back to the Honey House. We have had many late night extraction sessions where the temperature in the Honey House exceeded 100 degrees. We offer New Jersey Spring Wildflower and Summer Wildflower, Cranberry, Blueberry and Clover Honeys. In addition Mary creates Beeswax Pillar, Taper, Votive and Figurine Candles and we also offer bulk beeswax blocks and Beeswax Bars. We also make Raw Honey Food Gift Boxes.
Our Honey Favors
About ten years ago five of our customers asked if we could produce Honey Favors for their Weddings. From those five Brides-to-Bees we have worked with over 2,000 Brides-to-Bees. In addition we offer personalized labels for our Wedding Favors and Baby Shower favors. We have been voted by our Brides-to-Bees the Best of The Knot Wedding Pick for 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019! We are very proud of these awards and we really love working with our Brides!
Local Honey Pickup
If you are local to us you can order your Honey online and mark your order for local pickup at our Honey House. Our Honey House is located at 113 Hope Road, Tinton Falls, NJ! After your Honey order has been bottled, Mary will let you know when it will be ready for pick-up.
