Each one of our local bees visits as many as 100 flowers during each trip from the hive. They even do a little “dance” to let the other bees know where the good nectar and pollen is. Unlike mass-market honey, which is often produced and processed overseas, our honey is naturally made in the USA.

Calculating the weight of Honey in your Favor Jar

Honey jars are sold based on net weight ounces, sometimes called “honey weight.” One fluid ounce of honey equals approximately 1.5 net weight ounces. We always weigh your honey jar before filling it with our honey, and then weigh it again after filling it. The difference between the two measurements is honey weight ounces.

The formula is:

1.5 (fl) oz X 1.5= 2.25 net wt. oz.

2 (fl) oz x 1.5 = 3 net wt. oz.

3 (fl) oz x 1.5 = 4.5 net wt. oz.
